Joy happens
That’s because your life is filled with promise. Every minute, every hour, promise is staring you down. You may not even realize it. It’s so easy to just turn away from its taunting eyes and silly grin. It’s so easy to slam the door in it’s face, to brush it off with a nod. That’s because promise equals work. Whether your fulfilling a promise to a friend or a spouse, a boss or a bozo, promises take time.
Promises to yourself take time, too, but they guarantee you something promises to others don’t: joy. Yes, joy.
Give yourself permission to obtain it.
When you promise yourself anything, you promise yourself joy. Consider—the promise to reflect on what you have and where you plan to go. The promise to be all THAT and then some. The promise to be social. The promise to be thankful. You can do any of these things or you can do all of these things. You just need to allow yourself the time to stop. Breathe. Think. And live.
The only hang up you should have about promise is this free printable poster. Click & print. Get it up. Start from the top. Work from the middle. Enjoy the end result.

“Promises to yourself take time, too, but they guarantee you something promises to others don’t: ” I love that sentence. (And that’s not all I love about your e-nest.)

Hey Tracey, love the new look and am very glad those two hands twisting pinkies are still around! The poster is an inspiration unto itself. As for Joy – it is a gift we are able to give ourselves and others over and over. There is nothing wrong with re-gifting Joy. I feel that is what you have done with the unwrapping of your new look. Be well…
Tracey
Hi Michelle-Thanks for your unbelievably kind words about the new site. I have a few more things I need to add, but for now I was just clicking for joy to get it back online and start posting again! I like the thought of re-gifting Joy and I hope that’s what you do with the poster…print it, share it, enjoy it or simply be inspired to find your own joy in whatever way you can. Peace to you.
