The foot feels the foot when it feels the ground.

If this is true
—if the foot feels the foot when it feels the ground—
then it stands to reason the ear feels the ear when it hears music
the eye feels the eye when it sees art
the nose feels the nose when it smells fresh air
the mouth feels the mouth with every kiss
the hand feels the hand when it grips the key to the heart
and the heart feels the heart when it is heartbreakingly empty or euphorically full.

Worship the ground you walk on.
Make peace with a demon.
Sit in silence. Walk through noise.
Forgive yourself. Forget it all.
Embrace the world around you.
Act high. Be mighty.
Dive deep. Swim fast.
Sit down. Stop working.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Sacrifice drama.
Satiate your soul.
Speak.
Listen.
Think.
Sing.
Laugh.
Rise and shine.

I thought it might be nice to pause for just a post and rewind to a few favorite promises here and abroad. So here goes…
If you’re new to Twisted Pinky, check out where it all began: Promise #1: Stay true to YOU. Consider this your homework for the weekend: a quickie and a nap, not necessarily in that order. Thank me later.
If you’re not new, but you want a little pick me up, then head over to Promise #7: Take Sundays off. Afterall, Sunday is just two days away. If you combine Promise #1 and #7 you’ll guarantee yourself one hell of a weekend.
If you’re not looking forward to your weekend because something is stuck in your craw then read Promise #18 immediately.
If you want to laugh, then check out this Awesome post. It’s one of 1000. I’m going to share it with my two boys in just a few minutes. They will LOVE it.
If you’re wondering why I sent you to that Awesome post, it’s because of Promise #4: Be childish. Watch and learn.
If you’re thinking you need to reassess who is playing on your team then, by all means, read Promise #8: Find your Popeyes, Lose your wimpys.
If you’re looking for a quick way to enjoy rest of your day (or life) then rewind to Promise #22.
Hope your weekend is full of promise. Cheers!
